Itinerary:

Let's start the weekend with a brisk hike at one of my favorite CNRA units.  We'll try to pack in as much distance as we can in an hour and a 45 minutes - - which should be between 5 - 5.5 miles.

We'll start the hike at the upper parking lot, to your left immediately past the entrance.  DO NOT DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD!  This will give us a quick escape out of the unit once our hike ends.

This is NOT a beginner's hike.  We'll be going at a pretty fast clip without any breaks through some hilly terrain.  Please don't sign up for this one if you have any doubts about being able to stay with the group.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to keep up with the group and interact well with other dogs and people. The Chattahoochee NRA requires that owners keep their dogs on a leash and clean up after their pets on the trails.

Please be reminded that this area requires a $3 (cash) parking pass if you don't already own an annual pass.  No change is available.  We will start the hike promptly at 6:30 pm! Arrive 5 minutes early to purchase a pass and and to check in.
