Itinerary:

Be a little early as we will not wait past 8am at the start (see directions).  We will start on a wide gravel trail but will soon go off on more narrow dirt paths heading toward Sibley Pond.  This is an out and back so don't worry about falling behind or moving ahead a little, as we will wait at intersections so as to stay together.  We will enjoy the views on the cliffs above Sope Creek on the path there or back.   Bring your rain gear just in case we don't miss the scattered showers.

Approximate duration of 2 1/2 to 3 hours, depending upon the group, plus some break time around Sope Creek.  Total over several ups and downs (away from the gravel trail) is about 8 miles, but this is not mountainous territory.  Expected pace is moderate, but if the group wants we may do a little light jogging on the downhills.  We will try for a 20 minute pace, but will stop occasionally to enjoy the views.  For those that want, just before making it back to the wide gravel trail, we may go to see the cemetery, depending upon the weather and desires of the group.

If there have been heavy rains on Friday prior to the event I may cancel because the trail can get really muddy.  Right now, the forecast is for only 30% chance of rain on Friday so hopefully should not be too heavy.
