This trail system is one of the best multi-use trails in Cobb County. While many AOCers head to KSM, I prefer to hit this area for the solitude. The AOC helped build trail here in June of 2011. We'll return almost two years to the day and bring a new section to life!

As a certified crew leader I have a tremendous amount of experience constructing and re-working trails. For this NTD we'll help clear a corridor for a new trail. We will also work a technical section with a natural creek crossing that has to be built by hand. I'll explain correct trail design, construction and maintenance on-site. You'll gain an appreciation for a well built and sustainable trail.

We'll meet in the parking lot, get a safety review, walk to the trail, and work for roughly 3-4 hours. If you can't work the entire time, that's fine - arrive/leave as you wish.

Since this is NTD, other groups besides the AOC will be on-site.

You'll get a free lunch for your efforts. Door prizes will be raffled too. Fun times!

A bathroom is on-site.

PATRICK WILL BE IN AN ORANGE SHIRT WITH A BASEBALL HAT EMBLAZONED WITH CREW LEADER. Look for him as the point of contact.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

DO NOT USE A GPS, it will have you exit in Marietta and it'll take you a lot longer due to traffic lights.

5690 Old Stilesboro Rd, Acworth, GA 30101

Take 75N to exit 278

Go left and at the 3rd light you'll be at HWY 92, a RaceTrack is on the right. Go right

Take til it hits a T in 2-3 miles and now you are at Cobb Pkwy/HWY41, QuickTrip is on left. Go left

Go 3/4 mile and at big intersection, take right on Mars Hill

Go about 1.5 miles and turn right on County Line Road (you'll pass middle and elementary school on right before turn)

Go about 1/2 mile, road has Y, stay right and catch Old Stilesboro, go 1/4 mile, entrance is on right

We will work in a drizzle but not lightning. TL will email if event cancelled.
