Itinerary:

Let's start the weekend with a friendly hike at one of the nicest of the CNRA units.  We'll slow this one down a bit so that we can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the companionship of others. We'll start the hike at the Visitor's Center.  After you enter the park, you will drive past two lots on the left.  Keep going (about a half mile from the entrance) until you dead end in the third and final parking lot.  This will be a nice hike for beginners who can manage 3 miles with minimal elevation change.

This is NOT a fitness hike!  If you want a fast hike, please choose another event.  We plan to stick with a moderate pace - - not slow, but not fast, either.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to keep up with the group and interact well with other dogs and people. The Chattahoochee NRA requires that owners keep their dogs on a leash and clean up after their pets on the trails.

Please be reminded that this area requires a $3 (cash) parking pass if you don't already own an annual pass.  No change is available.  We will start the hike promptly at 6:30 pm! Arrive 5 minutes early to purchase a pass and and to check in.  The Visitor's Center (with bathrooms) closes at 5 pm, so either use a restroom on your way or plan to make friends with a tree along the way.
