Itinerary:

For years Tsali has been one of the best riding destinations in the USA.  The views from the overlooks provide one with unparalled scenery.  You see Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the other side.

The trails are quite old by mountain bike standards.  The four trails combine to form nearly 40 miles of trail.  Horseback riders and mtn bikers alternate trails, depending on the day of the week.  The trails are not difficult at all and in fact, they are pretty flat compared to other N. GA and NC riding locations.

We'll ride one loop, return to the cars, refuel and those wishing to take another loop or ride another trail may do so.  Plan to ride at least 10 miles while stronger riders will most likely put in a 25-30 mile day.  Again, the trails are rather flat so mileage may seem a bit high but it is not.

We'll probably start with Mouse Branch then hit Right Loop.  RTR about 11ish if the carpool leaves on time.

Once we finish our ride we'll head up the road to grab grub and set-up camp.  We have a campground with killer views - not to be missed.  Semi-primitive camping is the term, no electrical hookup but hot showers and clean bathrooms are nearby.

Sunday is open.  If you wish to ride the other trails at Tsali you may join the TLs in doing so or head to a nearby hiking trail.  You may wish to paddle or call it a day and head on home.

Although TL is willing to assist in trail side repair the rider bears responsibility.  You should carry necessary tools to fix minor repairs and know how to use them.
