Itinerary:

If you're up for an evening bike ride/spin and want to log in some miles before the start of the work week, get a decent workout in for the weekend, meet new people, or simply want to take a pleasant bike ride, come join us at Cochran Shoals on Sunday evening as we ride 3 -5 laps (15-25 miles  - 5 miles per lap) around Columns Drive (This is a very popular biking place for many bike riders) - this is a street bike ride but with a bike path...all bikes are welcome: road, hybrid, mountain, etc.

We will start our bike ride at the trailhead of Cochran Shoals parking lot (You can also meet us at the other parking lot on the Johnson Ferry side of the park, but let the trip leader know in advance), bike ride approx. 1.5 miles on a gravel trail to the other end of the park's parking lot, and onto Columns Drive where we will ride 3-5 laps (You get to decide your own pace and laps to ride).  At the end of our bike ride, we will ride back through the park to the end we started on.  Also, if there is any interest, perhaps we can go have some pizza or pasta at Harry's Pizza place - down the street from Cochran Shoals.

NOTE:  Please show up 5-10 minutes before the event to sign in.

Cochran Shoals is next to the Chattahoochee River where people run, ride bikes, & walk dogs. The trail heads north along the river; the Cochran Shoals Fitness Trail is a 3-mile loop with the parking area at Columns Drive as the halfway point. There are also some side trails near the main trails to explore if you feel adventurous.
