Ladies and Gents,

 

It's been a while so I'm jumping in head first.  Two nights of camping and two great caves.

Part 1 (Camping at Cavers Paradise near Kimball TN, has Bathrooms, Showers, and Water)

                 Friday Night campers/ Saturday cavers have first dibbs on Sunday Cave

                 Anyone who Signs up For Fri/Sat and can not attend Sunday Let me Know

                 I'll manually put on everyone who says they want both days monday then

                 It Opens up for everyone again!!!!!

 

Part 2 (Camping Saturday Night Back at Cavers Paradise / Caving Sunday at Bible Springs TN)

Required Items to Bring:

Caving Items: (print and use as a checklist/ you need 2 of everything if you are doing both caves, you will be cleaning your helmets/lights/packs before entering the second cave)

Caving Helmet (no bike helmets)

Headlamp (Waterproof)

2 other light sources minimum

plenty of batteries

backpack/fanny pack (small)

water

snacks

longsleeve shirt (synthetic materials only, no cotton)

long pants (no jeans or cotton)

boots (no steel toe / hard sole / no 5fingers)

gloves (no cotton)

kneepads (no hard plastics)

elbowpads (no hard plastics)

towell

trashbag for dirty clothes

 

Camping Items (Cavers Paradise $5 donation per night (has showers, bathrooms, running water, and a wood buring hot tub)

How to Get There:

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $97.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:
Important information for paid events in which payment is managed through the AOC:

     - Payment must be received by the payment due date and prior to participation in the event.

     - Some paid events require a minimum number of registered participants. If that number is not met, the event will be canceled and refunds will be issued to those who have already paid.

     - Third-party vendors often require damage deposits. Each registrant agrees to be liable for and required to reimburse the Atlanta Outdoor Club for any withheld deposits due to the actions of or damages caused by that registrant.

     - No partial payments. All registrants must pay the posted Member Cost regardless of any agreement you may have with any party involved in the event.

     - Read the event description carefully for additional information, and contact the trip leader(s) with any questions.


* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

There is a $10 Donation to the SCCI for visiting Tumbling Rock.

 

BRING CASH!!  PAID to the Cave Steward, not the AOC, or me!!!!

 

Camping Will be located at Cavers Paradise, there is a $5 donation per night.  They have running water, bathrooms, and showers.  If it's not too hot we might fire up the wood burning hot tub.
