Itinerary:

Serenbe is in the heart of the Chattahoochee Hill Country – which is protected with a master plan that calls for 80% green space.  We’ll explore Serenbe through an exciting 10 mile total hybrid urban-rural-woods hike which begins at the Farmers Market public parking area at 10:00 AM.  We’ll do two 5+ mile hikes with a 90 minute lunch break in- between.

The 1st – 5+ mile morning hike will include lovely trails that go through woods and lush pastures, farm animal areas, a stone labyrinth, wild flower fields and the beautiful yards and homes of Serenbe (including the HGTV Green Home).  After completing the morning hike, we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at the wonderful and award-winning Blue Eyed Daisy.  Once we’ve energized, we’ll head off on our 2nd 5+ mile hike into the woods.  We’ll enjoy a small waterfall, visit very fascinating ruins, take in lovely horse pastures, stroll by Fern's Market and so much more!

Please understand that to get credit for the event, participants must stay for both hikes.

This is not a hike for beginners as we’ll be covering 10+ miles at a moderate pace.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $10.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

I will allow up to four dogs on this trip - but they must be well trained and on a leash as we'll be around horses and livestock for some of the hike.  The Blue Eyed Daisy is dog friendly and has tiedowns and water provided on their patio area.
