Itinerary:

No excuses for NOT going on this hike.  This is the perfect hike for beginners who can't handle speed, distance, or elevation changes yet.   We'll go at an easy pace at this Sandy Springs location that is a hidden treasure right smack in the middle of a bustling city.

This trail is especially beautiful with lush trees and babbling brooks. Be sure to bring your camera!

This is an excellent hike for folks who want to get into hiking for the first time, who want to simply get out and enjoy the beauty of nature and breathe some fresh air without exerting themselves, or who want to begin hiking again after an injury.  Veteran hikers are certainly welcome, but please don't complain about the slow speed!

There are several little trails at Big Tree Preserve, including  (1) the Backcountry Trail; (2) the Spring Hollow Trial; and (3) the Jackson Overlook Trail. These trails are for foot travel only and are easy to walk with no steep grades.
