Itinerary:

Petty John's Cave,

We will be attempting a fast, late, and fun runthrough of the popular parts of this over six mile long cave.  Unfortunately, we will not be alone.  This is the most overcaved and demolished cave in the area; however, there is so much to do and see that we will push past the parts that are over-caved.  I particularly want to send everyone through Z-bend and down to the waterfall.

I strongly recommend that cavers have their own trusted equipment; however, on a per request basis I will make Helmets and lights available ($10 cash 2 available). We will also do some exploring in small groups, anyone less adventuresome should bring an extra jacket in case they are waiting, in the main passage, for the crawlers to come back. You will be wet and muddy but the Cave remains a constant 58 degrees.

***This is a wet and very muddy cave, proper attire is required, please no cotton. This is NOT a beginners cave trip.  Also, I will contact anyone without experience to make sure they have proper equipment and clothing to make sure everyone has the best possible time.***

* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cost Includes:

This is in the ga wma. This means you either need a day pass, or have a gorp vehicle yearly pass. I have one, covers one car and eight people. Other carpool drivers are responsible for getting this prior to the cave. Individuals also should buy the day use pass. Go to ga wildlife management page. It's only 2 dollars.  Ask me before you buy one, we may have enough passes.
