Interested in the sport of rock climbing but not sure how to get started? This is the perfect event for you! Escalade Climbing Gym hosts a novice climb aimed at people who have never been rock climbing before, or if you want to improve skills you already have. You'll climb in a controlled (and air conditioned) environment with experienced belayers keeping you safe. Their brand new indoor gym has 13,000 sq. ft. of climbing surface with loads of climbing stations, each of which has a range of difficulty levels. Here's a few climbing options:
This event includesrock time, the harness, and the belayers. It does not include shoes. Bring $5 for shoe rental. We'll arrive at 7:00 for introductions. Next we'll get our shoes and harnesses. Climbing begins promptly at 7:30 and lasts until 9:30, but will probably be able to stay until 10:00. Two to four people will be on the wall at any time. This will give you more than enough "wall time" to tire you out. A note about the difficulty rating: Absolutely NO climbing experience is required. However you need to be in good enough
physical shape to pull yourself up a wall, obviously.
