Itinerary:

Float

BYOBoat - there is no outfitter for this run

Cool off with a leisurely hump-day afterwork float from Island Ford CNRNA to Azalea Drive. We start out with a few fun class I's then trail off into a lazy, no-paddling peaceful float the rest of the way to Azalea Drive. We might digress here or there as the mood moves us.  Bring your pre-dinner beverage of choice with you on the river (alcohol is allowed on the Hooch), but no glass please.

After the float please join us at El Zapata (about 1-mile from the takeout) for dinner.

SHUTTLE - This shuttle works differently than most because it is crucial to get on the water by 6 o'clock (more so when the days get shorter). I plan to be at Island Ford at 5:30. I need one volunteer to be there by 5:30 too. My car will be the only one at the takeout and I will bring all of the drivers back to get their cars at Island Ford. Then we'll caravan back to Azalea Drive to get our boats (Lynn and any other passengers will watch our gear).

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

The entrance to Island Ford is on Roberts Dr. Go almost all the way to the end of the road (the visitor center is at the end). Just before you reach the parking area there is a right turn down to the boat launching area. We drop our boats & gear there and then park your car back up at the parking area. You will need a parking tag ($3) if you don't have a season pass.

Here is the Island Ford Visitor Center address that works on Google Maps.

1978 Island Ford Pkwy
Sandy Springs, GA 30350
