Itinerary:

Ever climb a tree as a kid and now as an adult you want to climb bigger trees? What about your curiosity of snakes. Ever curious about some of those creatures we've all seen soaking up the sun on the trail. Well, then come join me for a unique day of adventure and it's right outside of Atlanta.

We'll start our day at Panola Mountain State Park with a live snake presentation given by the Southeast Reptile Rescue. This presentation will be approximately run from 10AM to Noon and will include snakes such as rattlesnakes and cottonmouths. Most of us have encountered snakes on the trail, so this would be a good opportunity to learn a little more about them.

Please make sure to bring your lunch. We'll break for lunch from Noon to 1pm. It's a State Park, so they have plenty of places for a picnic lunch.

At 1 pm, we'll gather and get ready for our instructor led tree climbing experience. This will be your chance to do an adventure that is a little out of the ordinary. It will be an introductory climb and participants will be instructed on how to use ropes and harnesses to climb trees. It's basically an "on rope" climb. The event is rated as a moderately strenuous activity by Panola mountain state park, so please make sure you are in good physical condition for climbing.

Please Note: Event Cost does not include the parking fee, which is $3.00. Make sure you bring cash for the fee. Since we are carpooling, we can split it per car. If you have a state park pass, then that is great as well and you won't have to pay a parking fee.
