Itinerary:

Enjoy the morning sounds of nature in a silent hike. The silent part will be for the first 60 minutes of the walk. We will try to remain silent including with our selves! And just focus in the here and now.

Island Ford has some great hiking trails and it's also the location of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area Park Headquarters and Visitor Contact Station. We will hike almost five miles of these trails at a moderate to fast pace including sections along the river as well as in the woods, starting with the newer trail.

The meeting point will be the at the Visitors Center parking lot.  You can buy there your yearly parking pass.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to keep up with the group and interact well with other dogs and people. It's OK if it barks in the silent part. Make sure you bring a leash and clean up after your dog.
