Itinerary:

This is a semi-exploratory hike. We want to get to know the trails around Kolb's Farm and Cheatham Hill better. We'll also head out to the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. We know the area and a lot of the trails, just not all of them. We will not be hiking off trail or bushwhacking - we will use established trails. We will consult a map periodically but in between those times we will be moving at a moderately fast pace. We hope to cover at least five miles and because of the exploratory nature and fast pace of this hike, this is not a hike for beginners. If all of this sounds like fun to you then please join us.

We'll allow up to three dogs on this hike. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Please carefully read the excerpt from nps.gov regarding dogs at KM:

Dogs are welcome on the battlefield grounds but they must be on a leash no more than 6 feet in length and under the owners physical restraint at all times. Please be mindful of where dogs stop, curb your dog to help keep Kennesaw Mountain clean for ALL visitors. Please pick up anything they leave behind with mutt mits that are free and in dispensers in all parking areas.
