Itinerary:

Instead of sitting inside your car  bored to death, irritated... during rush hour. Join me in a stroll  around the lake at Murphy Candler Park in Dunwoody area.  The trail is a 2mile loop with little to no elevation change. 

If you want to stay with us for a second loop to make it 4 miles, please feel free to do so. No obligation to stay for the second loop. 

 

according to research... 

"the most stressful time of the day is during late afternoon, to be exact at rush hour traffic. people who came from work are very eager to go home after a whole day of work." it is suggested by scientists that the best way to reduce daily stress is to avoid the daily traffic, or keep it control as it is unhealthy, both physically and pschologically.

one of the ways suggested by researchers is to take a stroll in the park as a way of avoiding the traffic. it reduces the day long tension from work and relaxes the mind.

We will meet at the parking lot at the corner of W. Nancy Creek Dr. NE and Candler Lake W. NE (across from the baseball field).

From the East (Dekalb or Gwinnett County)

Take I-285 westboud to Ashford-Dunwoody Road, Exit 29. Turn left at the first light. Travel south on Ashford-Dunwoody Road for .9 miles and turn left on W. Nancy Creek Dr. Travel .6 miles to the parking lot on the left just after you cross the levee.

 

From the West (Fulton or Cobb County)

Travel East on I-285 to Exit 29, Ashford Dunwoody Road. Turn right at the first
light, if you are traveling west on I-285, turn left at the first light. Travel south on Ashford-Dunwoody Road for .9 miles and turn left on W. Nancy Creek Dr. Travel .6 miles to the parking lot on the left just after you cross the levee.


From Perimeter Mall:  

Head South on Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Cross over I-285. Continue on Ashford-Dunwoody Road to W. Nancy Creek Drive.
Turn left onto W. Nancy Creek Drive. Travel .6 miles to the parking lot on the left just after you cross the levee.

From downtown Atlanta: 
Go North on Peachtree Street to Ashford-Dunwoody Road.  Turn left onto Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Continue on Ashford-Dunwoody Road to W. Nancy Creek Drive. 
Turn right onto W. Nancy Creek Drive. 
Travel .6 miles to the parking lot on the left just after you cross the levee.
