Itinerary:

Please join me for another AOC First.  The Trail of the Muscogee is a little known obscure trail at Stone Mountain just inside the Main Gate.  This is a D2 hike due to several elevation changes and many roots and rocks but it is truly worth the effort.  There is a small gravel parking lot located just inside the main gate on the right hand side between the two bridges.  We will start this event at 9:00 AM and it is intended to be paired (for you early risers) with the early bird sunrise hike beforehand.  This is strictly an option though so feel free to sleep a little later and skip the sunrise if you like.  There is very limited parking at this site and it will be a first so we will keep the group small!  The trail follows the ridge along Highway 78 for about half the distance but is quite a distance off in the woods.  The second half of the hike returns along a very beautiful lake.  Join me for this wonderful refreshing little hike to start your weekend.

See you there!
