Itinerary:

 

Come and join me for a leisurely paced hike around the base of Stone Mountain and an optional visit to the "Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision"

We will meet at the Stone Mountain Ticket Kiosk which is at the parking area off Hugh Howell Rd. That’s where we begin and finish our hike.  Our hike starts at 4:30 pm … please be there a couple of minutes early.  We will be following the Cherokee Trail clock-wise and should be back at the Stone Mountain Ticket Kiosk at around 8:00pm. If you like, you can join me for the 45 minutes  "Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision", starting at approximately 8:30pm. The Lasershow is free with your $10.00 vehicle fee (or annual pass) to enter the Park.

  • Appropriate clothing for weather

  • Good Hiking Shoes
  • Smiley Face
  • Head lights

  • If you stay for the laser show, maybe bring a pad or blanket to sit on

Directions: From Downtown/Midtown Atlanta (via I-85)

Take I-85 North to I-285 East. Once on I-285 East, take Exit 39B, the U.S. Hwy 78 East (Snellville/Athens) exit. Travel 7.7 miles and take exit 8, the Stone Mountain Park Main Entrance.

Follow the exit ramp to the East Gate entrance of Stone Mountain Park where you pay your $10.00 entrance fee unless you have an annual parking pass.

After approximately 150 ft turn left (West) onto Robert E Lee Blvd. Proceed for approximately 0.8 miles and turn right (SE) onto Hugh Howell Rd. Please click on the directions to the: Stone Mountain Ticket Kiosk
