This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Prentice Cooper WMA is a 24,686 acre area with amazing views of the Tennessee River.  Join me for a backpacking trip along the add-on loop of the Cumberland trail.  This trail will take us along a natural arch, bluffs of the TN River, and unique rock formations that are popular on the Cumberland Plateau.  We will hike approximately 7 miles to camp and find a good spot to pitch our tents and hammocks.  The next day we will pack up and head out on the rest of the trail.

TN River overlook

I have not done this trip before, so be prepared for "ish" miles, possible wrong turns, and most importantly ADVENTURE!!!

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $88.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Dogs are permitted in Prentice Cooper, but on a leash.  Dog approval is up to the trip leader.

And, NO BAD MOODS!!! Leave that crap at home, we are going to be in NATURE!!!!
