We had such a successful hike this past Wednesday morning at Gold Branch, because of a request, I'm posting a similar hike this Wednesday morning at Vickery Creek. We kept up a challenging speed and got a thorough workout - - so we'll push it again on this one. Though this isn't a "fitness hike," the pace will be on the fast side of moderate, so this is not a hike for beginners who have no trail experience. Vickery Creek has a lot of elevation change, which would make it too challenging for novices. If you can handle hills at a pretty fast speed, come give it a try.

We will start on time (10:30 am)! Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in and do intros. There is a bathroom at this location, so allow an extra 5 minutes to use the facility before we start.

We are meeting at the Roswell Mill entrance to the Vickery Creek trailhead, just off S. Atlanta Road in Roswell. There is no parking fee at this location. Detailed directions are below.

If folks would like to have lunch together after the hike, there is Chaplin's Pub and Restaurant just on Atlanta Road at the Roswell Mill entrance to the trailhead. We can determine if there's any interest after we finish.

Roswell Mill is at 120 and S. Atlanta Road in Roswell. Use either the physical address below or the lat/lon coordinates to get your own directions. We are meeting behind all of the shops at the Roswell Mill Center. Just keep driving down the road till you get to the big parking lot at the very bottom of the long hill.

Roswell Mill is where Hwy 9 (S. Atlanta St) and Hwy 120 (Marietta Hwy) intersect. There's a popular restaurant called Chaplin's in that shopping center. When you turn in to the shopping center (from either direction or from Hwy 120)) you will be on Mill St. Stay on Mill Street (it winds around), all the way down to the bottom of the hill.
