Itinerary:

The carpool willl leave promptly at 8:15 so that we can get to the Amicalola Falls Visitor Center by 9:30. Please arrive by 8:05 so that we can get our gear into cars and make introductions. If you're running late, you'll have to drive to the event by yourself.  Please be sure to take driving instructions with you when you leave home.

There's a $5 State Park fee for each car entering the park (unless you have an annual tag).

We'll all gather at the Visitor's Center so that we can register and use the bathrooms. Then, we'll drive up to the trailhead parking lot together and put on our gear for the hike.  After making introductions and taking a group photo, we'll head up the Len Foote Inn trail (5 miles) to the Inn, where we'll stop for lunch and a restroom break.

Please be sure to bring lunch with you. The Inn provides drinks and often has some desserts or other items left over from lunch to offer. Please bring a few dollars with you to leave in the donation box for the hospitality the Inn provides. They really appreciate the support, and we want them to continue to welcome AOC groups there.

After lunch, we'll cross the 1 mile connector to the Approach Trail for the 5 mile return trek. The entire hike will be 11 miles long. We'll keep a moderate pace -- neither too fast nor too slow. We'd like to keep the group together, so if you want a fast workout hike, please choose another event.  Don't plan on racing ahead of the group.

This hike had to be cancelled on the 21st due to rain.  Let's hope for better luck this time!
