Recently I hiked the Columns Drive section of Cochran Shoals and easy to say it is my current favourite among the Chattahoochee parks.

This will be a rain or shine hike. We will stop ocassionally for a sip of water or to take a few pictures along the way. We will hike 6 miles in 2.5 hours, so it is moderately paced and nothing too fast. Some of the trails we take might be shared by bikers and defintiely some runners.

We will meet at the Cochran Shoals parking area on Columns Drive. Please see detailed directions below.

There are restrooms at this location. You will need 3$ cash for a parking fee or an annual pass.

GPS co-ordinates - 33° 55' 18.17" N, 84° 26' 20.84" W

From I-285 take exit 24
In 0.4 miles turn left onto Riverside Dr NW
In 2.3 miles turn left onto Johnson Ferry Rd NW
In 0.2 miles Turn left onto Columns Dr SE
In 2.3 miles the road will dead end into a parking lot.
