Itinerary:

Lets enjoy a beautiful 30 mile bike ride on a cool Fall day!

We will start at the Rambo Trailhead near Dallas going to Rockmart through beautiful scenery of pastures and countryside. We will have lunch at Frankie's restaurant and ride back the same way.

The pace will be moderate to allow everyone to pick up their own pace. Lunch will break the trip in half to make it more enjoyable.

The Silver Comet trail used to be railroad tracks, making it almost flat with little elevation gain.

As we start, we will cross the Pumpkinvine Trestle, which is 750 feet long and 126 feet high. Then we will pass Paulding Forest -hilly pine woods- for the next eight miles. Before emerging from the forest, will go thru the 800 foot long Brushy Mountain Tunnel -a photo opp! Then pastures all the way to Rockmart. Coot's Lake will be on the left side on the way there.

When at Rockmart we will exit by the Riverwalk Park near downtown where Frankie's Restaurant is located. After lunch we will meet ouside to make our way back.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for your bike maintenance or repairs on the trail
