Itinerary:

There have been many evening fitness hikes at this park, but we're going to take things at a more moderate pace and enjoy the beautiful scenery that daylight offers. We'll be moving on the fast side of moderate, so this is NOT a hike for beginners.  We'll be covering a little over 6 miles in three hours over hilly, root-laden terrain. We'll stop as needed for water breaks and pictures; otherwise, we'll move along.  The trails we'll be hiking are actually biking paths, so we'll have to obey the directional postings and yield to bikers.  Hopefully, at this time of day, we won't have too much competition from our mechanical companions.

I hiked these trails once before, long ago, in the dark - - so I'll actually be discovering them with you! The trails present three loops with colored markers denoting the trails, so I don't think we can't get lost. :-)  See the trail map link below.

Because of the danger to bikers, I'm requesting that no dogs be brought on this event.  Besides, I would hope that all of you join me for lunch after the hike, and you don't want to leave your pooch in the car!  The park is just down the street from the new Woodstock Outlet Mall, so some of you might like to extend the day browsing through the shops.  (A link to the shops in the mall is provided below.) We can eat lunch there at the Taqueria Tsuname before saying farewell to each other!

See the link to the Taqueria Tsuname restaurant below.

I am not organizing a carpool for this event since it isn't that far, and most of you will likely want to shop the mall at your own pace after lunch.
