Itinerary:

This park is a must if you've never seen it.   Don't let the name mislead you - - it isn't little!  It's an expansive park, the trails are well-maintained, and it's beautiful!  I wish it were closer to my stomping grounds in East Cobb!

We'll meet just beyond the parking lot off of Fence Road - - near the bathrooms.  Just park and walk forward to the only building in sight.

We'll move at a moderately fast pace, with stops along the way for water, a snack, and photos. We want to cover the entire trail system, which is about 10 miles, in 4 hours, so we'll have to keep moving. There is such a wide variety of things to see here, including forested trails, equestrian trails, overlooks and a huge, gorgeous lake.

Bring a snack or light lunch with you.  There is a really nice overlook with a great view that we can stop at for a few minutes to eat. Also, be sure to have plenty of water.  The temperatures are cooling down, but dehydration is always a danger.  Poles are recommended for people who like to use them.
