Itinerary:

Wednesday's weather is going to be sunny and nice, it will be nice to be out on the trails after all the rain we've had for the past week. We'll hike at a moderate and steady pace for about 5 miles. The speed will be around 2.5 mph. 

We will meet at the first parking lot NOT at the visitor center. Restrooms are available at the visitor center, so please plan for an additional few minutes if you'd like to use them before we start. You will need $3 cash for a daily pass if you do not have an annual pass.  

We will begin promptly at 11 am, so please arrive a few minutes early.

Appropriate clothing for the weather

3$ cash or annual park pass

Good hiking shoes

Recommended Items to Bring:

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

GPS co-ordinates : 33.995149, -84.332396 

As described before we will meet at the very first parking lot NOT at the visitor center. 

From northbound US 19 and GA 400

  • Take exit #6 (Northridge Road).
  • Coming off the exit, stay in the right lane, cross over GA 400, and turn right onto Dunwoody Place. 
  • In 0.5 miles turn right onto Roberts Drive.
  • In 0.7 miles turn right into the park entrance.
  • In 0.2 miles turn left into the first parking area (not at the visitor center).

From southbound US 19 and GA 400

  • Take exit #6 (Northridge Road)
  • Continue straight ahead at the traffic light onto Dunwoody Place.
  • In 0.5 miles turn right onto Roberts Drive.
  • In 0.7 miles turn right into the park entrance.
  • In 0.2 miles turn left into the first parking area (not at the visitor center).
