Who's gonna be our 1st Annual AOC Campfire Chili Cook Off Champion???

Sign up here if you want to enter your chili in the contest.

Free entry for the cooks

Because the number of cooks to tasters ratio is too high, we're not accepting any more cooks at this time. You can still put yourself on the waiting list in case we do open it up more later. :-)

Hey guys!

I have been doing the Atlanta Chili Cook Off with my friends for 12 years and it's always a blast!!

Now, the cool thing is our champion will select a team and the AOC will sponsor their booth to participate in the
Atlanta Chili Cook Off at Stone Mountain!! We will register and buy the booth, and you will buy your ingredients, make your chili and possibly win up to $4000 for your team if you take 1st place!! In the Atlanta Cook off you can also submit Brunswick Stew and Cornbread (which also has additional $$ prizes), but for our purposes, we'll stick to chili.

I'm really unsure how many folks will truly be interested so some of the details, like location etc will be left off for now. But here are the basics:

  • This will be a People's Choice Blind Taste test so we need lots of tasters!!
  • Blind means the Chili Cookers will be shuffled and will not be serving their own chili. We will record correct chili's before serving time.
  • The Chili Cookers will be provided with sample cups and a People's Choice submission box.
  • The Tasters will be provided with a People's Choice Coin and make their submission.
  • Sweet Corn Bread, Saltine Crackers, & Water will also be provided.

  • No charge for contest entrants (1 person per entry).
  • If you want to be a taster and vote for our AOC champion, but not cook, go to the taster/judge page here.

  • Required Items to Bring:

  • Chili if you're a chili cooker
  • A spoon if you're a taster (JK...we'll provide the spoons :) )
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

    How to Get There:
Event Directions:Located where the social is next to Frankie's at the Prado. I 285 & Roswell Rd. Go South on Roswell and the Prado is the first shopping center on your right.

    Notes:

Please note: the AOC will only pay for the registration and cost of booth and possibly provide some kitchen ware. All ingredients and misc cookware the winner needs will be paid for by winner, or winner's team. The Atlanta event actually requires at least 4 gallons to be served to the public.

    * We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:   Please review the AOC cancellation policy.
