Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Join us for the 3rd of the Canyon Climber series: Tallulah Gorge. This series of four hikes will take in Providence Canyon, Cloudland Canyon, Tallulah Gorge and last but not least Amicalola Falls from the bottom of the staircase!!!

We plan to hike the North and South Rim Trails, Hurricane Falls Trail Loop, Inspiration Loop Trail and also the High Bluff Trail if weather permits including fulfilling the requirements for Part 3 of the Canyon Climbers Series.

The requirements for Part 3 are as follows: The staircases leading to the bridge include 310 steps from the north rim and 340 from the south rim – quite a workout for visitors who complete the whole journey. However, Canyon Climbers Club members need walk only up and down from the north rim’s overlook 2.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $62.40 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

There is a $5 State Park parking fee per vehicle which should be split by all members in the carpool.
