Itinerary:

This is actually Station Cove Falls to Tamassee Knob & then Hidden Falls. Starting near the Oconee Station Historic Site,  a short trail takes us to Station Cove Falls, with a beautiful 60' cascade. Heading on the Palmetto trail has a steady moderate climb to the Tamassee Knob Trail. This trail rolls along some gaps & peaks. At the top of Tamasee Knob you are rewarded with a rock ledge with an expansive view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Returning back to the start of the spur trail we pick up the Foothills trail to the Hidden Falls spur trail. This is mostly flat except for a drop near the falls. At the end is the 50' secluded Hidden Falls. After the short climb back up from the falls, it truly is "all downhill (or flat) from here" back to the cars.

We will stop at the Spotted Pig http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-spotted-pig-fair-play?nb=1 on the way home for dinner. If you do not wish to stop, please make sure you to drive yourself or with someone else returning directly to Atlanta.

We plan to be back at the cars well before dark, but the days are short, so it is best to always bring a headlamp or flashlight on Winter hikes.

In case of rain this hike will be rescheduled.
