Itinerary:
Interested in becoming an AOC Event Coordinator? It is not has hard as you think. If you can walk five miles and have a some organizational skills you are half way there. Why become a Coordinator?

Keep the AOC Strong – The club is only as good as the outdoor events we do. The interest level for AOC events is high and waiting lists are common. We can always use more events so don't use the excuse that there are already enough events on the calendar.

Do the Activities You Want – Are there outdoor activities that you would like to do that you don't see on the website? Or would you like more of a particular activity? Event Coordinators determine what activities the club will do. Don't complain – get involved and help the club expand in new areas.

Do the Activities the Way You Want to – Event Coordinators are responsible for setting the pace and the tone of the event. Want to go to fast and hurry home, that's fine. Or you can choose to have the event go at slower pace and enjoy nature. In particular for hikes we need all types: Fast paced, moderated paced, long (8 plus miles), intermediate, dog hikes, etc.

Do the Event When You Want to – Are events not at a convenient date or time for you? As a coordinator you determine when an event is and when to start it.

Ask a Coordinator – There are many other reasons people become Event Coordinator. Talk to one at the Social or your next outdoor event and ask why they enjoy leading events.
