Itinerary:

After being couped up in the house due to snow, I bet we're all waiting to barge out of our homes, Seems like warmer weather is in store for us over the next couple of days and roads seem to be safe to drive, so let's get out there!

Vickery Creek is one of my favourite trails. It has moderate elevation change that offers variety depending on your preference. One gets to see some nice winter views that aren't quite visible in spring and hopefully we catch some snow tomorrow.

This will be a moderately paced approximately 5.5 mile hike. I'm hoping to see several snow covered views, so this hike might include a few breaks for scene-viewing or picture-taking , please be prepared for that; if you're hoping for a continuously-moving, no-break hike, then this might not be for you, Having said that, I do promise great views with or without snow, and a decent workout.

The trails might be slushy, so good water-proof hiking boots are necessary. Bringing along hiking poles might also be a good idea.

We meet at the Covered Bridge Entrance, what we also know as the Roswell Mill Entrance of Vickery Creek Unit. There is no parking fee here. Restrooms are available at the location.

Thank you Susan Mioduser for the beautiful picture of Vickery Creek covered in snow! :)

If you have any questions feel free to email/call me. :)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Approx Physical Address - 1 Mill St, Roswell, GA 30075.

GPS Co-ordinates - 34.0138888888889,-84.3594305555555

We are meeting behind the shops at the Roswell Mill Center where the parking is free.  It is where Hwy 9 (S. Atlanta St) and Hwy 120 (Marietta Hwy) intersect.  Keep driving down the road until you get to the big parking lot at the very bottom of the hill.

I recommend using www.maps.google.com to find directions from your point of origin.
