Join me for a fun hike at Kennesaw National Battlefield Park!

This is a great hike! The trail is relatively flat compared to Big Kennesaw, Little Kennesaw and Pigeon Hill, but the distance and pace of the hike will provide a great workout and make it a D3.

The trail takes us from the parking lot on Cheatham Hill Road down to Kolb's Farm up towards the Illinois Monument then back to our cars.

We’ll hike about 5.0 miles. We’ll make a stop or two along the way but I hope to complete the hike in about 2 hours which puts us at a good pace.

Approximate Distance: 5 Miles

Duration: 2–2.5 Hours

Average Speed: 2.75-3.25mph. (Not a D1 Speed).

Skill Level Minimum: Intermediate (Not D1 Skill Level)

Dogs Permitted?: Yes! But always on a leash.

Required Items to Bring:

A great attitude and willingness to explore!

Hiking boots or trail shoes... because hiking barefoot isn't cool.
Water - umm...because you’re going to get thirsty...
A snack just in case you get the munchies…

- Parking is limited. You are advised to arrive early in case you need to wait for a parking spot.
- Some people have encountered difficulties following driving directions from smart phones or the web. I have provided an address that according to Google Maps is accurate and will get you to the correct parking lot. At worst, your choice of navigation device, gadget, and/or application will put you within 1/4 (0.25) mile of the parking lot where using your advanced brain powers can complete your navigation.
