Itinerary:

The weather is looking fantastic for this Saturday afternoon with a high near 70 and plenty of sunshine, so I've decided to offer this "last minute" hike at beautiful Little Mulberry Park.  Hope you can join us!  (A similar AOC hike had been planned for Sat morning by my friend James Mitchell but unfortunately he had to cancel it.)

Conveniently located in Gwinnett County, the relatively new 890-acre Park is just off I-85 about 8 miles beyond the Mall of Georgia.  It boasts beautiful lakes, creeks, forests and a wide variety of beautifully designed and maintained trails.  Some are suitable for hiking - others for hiking and biking, and others specially designed for horseback riding.  A "must-see" spot is the the high grassy overlook where we're likely to have a fine view of Mt. Yonah and other high mountains in GA's Chattahoochee Nat'l Forest to our north.

We'll gather at 1:30 PM by the bulletin board in the Park's free "north side" parking lot that is the closest to I-85 at the intersection of Pine Rd and Hog Mtn Rd.  Despite the name "LITTLE Mulberry,"  it's actually a BIG park with 3 different parking lots, so be sure use my detailed directions & lat/lon coordinates below for that correct meetup spot.  Please be on time!  With normal traffic it's about a 30-minute drive to the Park from the "Spaghetti Junction" I-85/ I-285 interchange.

After introductions, we'll hike about 6 miles total at a moderate pace, stopping occasionally along the way to enjoy the scenery and take photos.  If anyone needs to "split" early it won't be a problem, and I can easily direct you back to your car via the well marked trail system.
