Itinerary:

Back by popular demand (Suzanne W.!), we are celebrating Cinco de Mayo with 5 hikes!  Join us on one of them, two of them, or even all of them, if you like!  Wear a sombrero, and get into the spirit of the day!  We'll take a break between hikes 3 and 4 to have a Mexican lunch at Tijuana Joe's on Roswell Road (Sandy Springs). Lunch will take place around 2 pm.  Join us!

We'll take this last hike of the day in celebration of el Cinco de Mayo at a pretty fast pace, therefore, it is NOT a hike for beginners or for folks who can't maintain a moderately fast pace for 2 hours (with few stops).  We'll start at the lollipop loop, pass through the parking lot, and continue into the woods for the rest of the hike.

Since the Visitor's Center will be closed and no bathrooms available, we'll meet at the FIRST parking lot, which is immediately on your left past the front entrance to Island Ford.  If you need to use the restroom before the hike, there are LOTS of available trees!

We'll start the hike promptly at 6:00 pm, so arrive at least 10 minutes early to meet everyone before we start out and/or to purchase a $3 parking ticket if you don't own an annual pass.

Since we'll be going at a fast pace, we're not inviting dogs along on this hike.  The trails are sometimes narrow with lots of roots, so dogs can become a tripping hazard.
