Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Come join Joyce and me as we cover a little over 4 1/2 miles of the Garland Mountain Horse and Hiking Trails.  I hiked there in early February and was so impressed with the trail condition and scenery.  The trails are immaculately maintained by the Cherokee County Saddle Club and are open to horsemen and hikers only.  Do not be concerned about horse nuggets – there were not that many and they are easily avoided (really).  We’ll be hiking parts of the Palomino, Garland Greenery and Sorrel trails.  We’ll also be stopping at the pavilion in the parking area after the hike for an optional BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch).  After we complete this hike and our lunches, Joyce and I will be driving just 6 miles over to Pine Log Creek Trail for our second hike of the day, so feel free to sign up for one or both of the hikes.  Because we want folks to be able to sign up for 1 or both hikes, we’ve decided not to have a carpool on this hike.  Dogs are allowed (up to 4) – but MUST remain on a leash and cannot be spooked by horses!
