Itinerary:

The Silver Comet Trail is a paved and well maintained trail West of Atlanta. This trail in total is more than 61 miles with less than a 2% grade. Our group will stick with 22 mile, total round trip, ride of a scenic section!

This is not part of the trip, but Coot's lake has a beach. Should you want to go for a swim after the ride they charge 5$ for entry.

From Marietta at 75:

Follow signs for GA-120 Loop W/Marietta/Southern Poly and merge onto South Marietta Pkwy SE - 3.3 mi

Turn right onto Powder Springs St SW/South Marietta Pkwy SW - .4 mi

Turn left onto GA-120 W/Whitlock Ave NW - 14.4 mi

Turn right onto Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy - .8 mi

Continue onto GA-6 W/US-278 W/Jimmy Campbell Pkwy - 14.4 mi

Turn right onto Coots Lake Rd - 600 ft

Look for trail head parking on your right

From Atlanta:

Take interstate 20 West towards Douglasville

Turn right onto GA-92 N/Hwy 92 N/Campbellton St - 7.5 mi

Turn left onto Bill Carruth Pkwy - 4.2 mi

Turn left onto Jimmy Lee Smith (GA-6 W/US-278 W) Pkwy - 15.3 mi

Turn right onto Coots Lake Rd - 600 ft

Look for trail head parking on your right
