Itinerary:

We'll take the Goldilocks approach on this hike - - not too fast, and not too slow.  We'll stop for little breaks along  the way and perhaps take a few pictures. We'll start at the Visitor's Center and hike the older trails, skipping the lollipop loop.

The Visitor's Center is the lot at the very end of the road - - almost a mile past the entrance gate. There is a bathroom here, and it's the place to buy an annual pass if you need one.

We'll start the hike promptly at 10:30 am.  Arrive at least 5 minutes early to meet everyone before we start out and/or to purchase a $3 parking ticket if you don't own an annual pass. Passes are sold for $35 at the Visitor's Center, so this would be a good opportunity to purchase one.

Required Items to Bring:

Hiking Shoes, Water
$3.00 cash or your annual pass

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Insect repellant and sun screen.

Bring an epi-pen if you're allergic to yellow-jacket stings.

Don't forget to bring $3 cash for a parking ticket;  change is not available.

Trails can be muddy if there has been recent rain.  Be sure to have shoes with good tread that you don't mind getting dirty.  Waterproof shoes help, too!
