Itinerary:

Ok super short notice and very informal event here.  I just found out about this new meteor shower and plan to go up to Brasstown Bald early in the wee hours of Saturday to check it out.  Here are details:

http://www.space.com/25998-meteor-shower-places-to-watch.html

These meteor showers are somewhat hit and miss, mainly becuase of the level of cloud cover. But if anyone wants to join me up there, I plan to get there at around 1am and will stay as long as the show is good...but probably till about 4ish or later.

The walk up to the top of the mtn from the parking area is about .4 miles and gains about 450 feet,...a short steep climb, which is why this is a D2 event.  But you could also just watch it from the parking area and would be about as good.  But more fun to watch it from the "Roof of Georgia", the observation tower at the top of BB.

Ok so if a night owl or two would like to join me, sign up and we can figure out finding each other up there but should be fairly simple.   We won't bother with a carpool, so people just arrive and leave as they wish.
