Itinerary:

 

We'll head up river for a little more than a mile and then paddle back down so we will not need to set a shuttle.  The current is very slow on this part of the river.  On the way we’ll paddle around an island to see if the goose eggs have hatched and then continue up river under the Roswell Rd Bridge.  On our way back we’ll paddle into Big Creek.  Bring your camera, the turtles are abundant!  This paddle is suitable for beginner paddlers.  We will paddle at a leisurely pace.

 Sunset is at 8:40pm.  We’ll plan to be off the river by 8:30pm. 

 A restroom is available where we launch.

 Depending on interest from our group, we can stop by North River Tavern for a bite to eat & drink after our paddle.

Water & snack (no glass allowed on river)
Shoes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty
Hat
sunscreen

This puts you on the map at Chattahoochee Outfitters. There is parking all along the lots at Chattahoochee River Park. We will be dropping our boats in at the boat ramp. Restrooms and a Pavilion are nearby.
