Itinerary:

From the producers of "Hump Day on the Hooch" we bring you

DOUBLE Hump on the Hooch

Yes!  It's a rare double-hump Bactrian year when the middle day of the year (July 2, Big Hump Day) falls on a Wednesday (Hump Day).  Celebrate with us on a leisurely after-work 4-mile float from Island Ford to Azalea Drive.

Rules:

1) BYOB or anything that floats - there is no outfitter

2) No paddling - this is not a race - the object is to relax and socialize

3) Bring any type of beverage you want, just NO GLASS please

4) Each paddler must have a PFD or CG approved personal floatation device in the boat (wear it or not)

5) Have fun - no bitchin'

Join us for Mexican dinner afterwards at El Zarape (880 Atlanta St. Roswell, GA 30075), about 1-mile from the takeout.  We dine al fresco whenever the weather cooperates.

We run the shuttle differently for this float since we don't want to waste daylight.  Most cars will be left at the put-in and we'll shuttle drivers back to retrieve cars after the float (that way we can stage a car at Azalea Drive while people are still showing up).  Parking at Island Ford requires a CRNRA pass or $3.  Shuttle is free if you're going to dinner with us :)

Here is the address for the Island Ford Visitor Center.  It works on Google Maps.
