It's time for the AOC Picnic!

First day of Summer!


We are reaching for the top with this years event. A full day of fun to be had by ALL !

If you can find a Picnic that offers more than this let us know.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT - The Hot Carltons! with AOC member, Chris Jackson on bass & vocals.

FIELD DAY ACTIVITIES:
Things such as:
  • 3 Legged Race
  • Potato Sack Race
  • Egg or Water Balloon Toss
  • Spin your Head on the Bat and fall down I mean race
  • Relay Races

    And Tom is planning some games with a twist. You won't find out until you get there.

    OTHER ACTIVITES:
    For those more calm individuals we will offer the traditional activites.
  • Volley Ball
  • Horse Shoes
  • Frisbee
  • Bocce Ball
  • Free Kisses (need volunteers for this one still)

    FOOD:
    Of course you won't go hungry either. We will be grilling along with offering lots of sides and snacks. Yes yes yes there will be vegetarian food as well.

    Lake:
    We are right on the lake so if you want to bring a canoe or kayak please do.

    This is an ADULT ONLY Activity just like all AOC events. State parks do not allow alcohol so if you bring any you better keep it hidden & please don't drink & drive. The AOC is not responsible for any alcohol you bring.

    How to Get There:
    Event Directions:Take I-75 North to exit 285 red Top Mtn Road. Take at right at the top of the ramp and go 1 mile to reach the park. You will cross over a bridge and take your first right into our area. if parking is full here go another 50 yards and park on the left in the overflow parking area.


    All state parks have a $3 per vehicle charge for parking. With Red Top Mtn the actual place you pay is inside the park, NOT at the entrance. When you arrive please drive past the AOC area and the overflow parking on the left. take your next left, you will see the parking booth ahead. Pay for your vehicle and then come back and park. Because of this fee the AOC encourages everyone to find someone to carpool with.


    Notes:
    Important information for paid events in which payment is managed through the AOC:

         - Payment must be received by the payment due date and prior to participation in the event.

         - Some paid events require a minimum number of registered participants. If that number is not met, the event will be canceled and refunds will be issued to those who have already paid.

         - Third-party vendors often require damage deposits. Each registrant agrees to be liable for and required to reimburse the Atlanta Outdoor Club for any withheld deposits due to the actions of or damages caused by that registrant.

         - No partial payments. All registrants must pay the posted Member Cost regardless of any agreement you may have with any party involved in the event.

         - Read the event description carefully for additional information, and contact the trip leader(s) with any questions.

    * We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

    In case of rain (which won't happen because we already sacrificed a goat to the appropriate gods), the event will be rescheduled, and the option of a full refund will be made.
