Itinerary:

**Rescheduled event from Saturday, August 9th**

Everyone has tubed the "Hooch" in Helen, right? Been there, done that! Well, time to move on up to the next level, the Toccoa River!

Unlike the Chattahoochee in Helen, the Toccoa is a deep and swift flowing river. Perfect for floating and swimming on hot summer afternoons. No chance of hitting your 'bum' on a rock in this river. The float is very relaxing and chill. Lots of see as you float and plenty of places to pull over if needed.

From the carpool, its a short 1 hr and 30 min drive up to TRA in McCaysville. Once at TRA, I'll get our tickets while everyone changes or puts on their sunscreen. Grab your tube (single or double), and load up on the short bus! After the 5 min ride, float time! Also, unlike the 'Hooch', you are welcome to bring coolers (Pro tip: Double tube if you bring a cooler).

For this trip, we'll do the 3 mile section. Depending on how swift the river is floating, it could take as little as 1 1/2 hours or 2 1/2 hours. Towards the end of our float, we'll pull over at a local park to give everyone a chance to swim and relax.

Once we finish, we can headed into McCaysville for a bite or a brew or head back to the ATL.

Hope you can join me for this wet adventure!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a water event therefore you should know how to swim to attend. You should feel comfortable in swift moving and/or deep water. You should also know how to self rescue should you fall  out of your tube or lose your footing in the river while swimming.
