Itinerary:

There are no morning hikes scheduled for Wednesday morning, so here's one I hope you can make.

We'll take a moderately brisk pace through the Columns Drive unit, focusing mostly on the trails around Sope Creek.  We're likely to encounter several hilly areas, but we'll do it at a constant pace - - not fitness pace, but not slow.

That being said, this is NOT a hike for folks who can't handle hills without frequent stops to rest.  We'll try to keep going except for occasional water breaks and perhaps a photo now and then.

Approx Physical Address -153 Columns Dr, Marietta, GA 30067

  • From I-285 East

    • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
    • Left for 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road
    • Go left, cross the Chattahoochee and take an immediate LEFT onto Columns Drive.
    • ·Stay on Columns Drive for about 2.6 miles, which will end at the unit.

    From I-285 West

    • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
    • Right for 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road
    • Go left, cross the Chattahoochee and take an immediate LEFT onto Columns Drive.
    • Stay on Columns Drive for about 2.6 miles, which will end at the unit.

    From GA 9 North (Roswell Road)

    • Take Roswell Road to Johnson Ferry Road.
    • Left onto Johnson Ferry Road go about 2.2 miles.
    • Cross the Chattahoochee River and take an immediate left onto Columns Drive.
    • Stay on Columns Drive for about 2.6 miles, which will end at the unit.

    From GA 9 South (Roswell Road)

    • Take Roswell Road to Johnson Ferry Road.
    • Right onto Johnson Ferry Road go about 2.2 miles.
    • Cross the Chattahoochee River and take an immediate left onto Columns Drive.
    • Stay on Columns Drive for about 2.6 miles, which will end at the unit.

$3 cash for a parking pass is required, unless you have an annual pass
