Itinerary:

Death: If you like cemeteries, you'll love the Decatur Historic Cemetery!  We'll pick up one of the ten page Walking Tour brochures of the 58 acre park (Decatur's largest greenspace) that highlights 40 special grave sites in the cemetery.  We'll check out the various plots and also take a scenic stroll through the adjacent Glen Lake Park - - a beautifully forested path accessible from the cemetery.  (Check the notes below for links to the Walking Tour Brochure and to Glen Lake Park).

Although our pace will be leisurely and there isn't much in the way of elevation change, we'll be on our feet for a few hours and we'll be walking at least 5 miles.  Judge your ability accordingly.

Decadence: After our cemetery tour, we'll walk a few blocks to Decatur's famous Brick Store Pub where we'll indulge ourselves with a delicious lunch and perhaps a glass of one of their famous beers. (See the links below for a menu and a history of the pub.)

After lunch, folks are free to stroll around Decatur or return to their cars (which we'll leave parked in the cemetery).
