After walking 5.5 miles south on the Appalachian Trail we will reach Forest Service Road 58, where we will spend some time exploring the Three Forks area, admiring the waterfalls, and maybe swimming a bit on shallow water. We will then retrace our steps one mile to the intersection of the AT and the Benton MacKaye trail. We will follow the BMT for about a mile until we reach our campsite.
