425 Steps (Amicalola Falls) - Cumbre de la montana con vista espectacular! (Mountain with a spectacular view)

This is an endurance fitness hike for intermediate to advanced hikers. The hike is approximately 12 miles round trip with an average hiking speed and only a few rest breaks. We're going to start from the park store and hike up West Ridge Staircase (425 steps!) to the trailhead - several viewpoints of the waterfall and surrounding area along the way.  From the trailhead, we will hike the AT Approach and return back via the Len Foote  route and hike back down to the visitor center taking the East Trail Ridge or West Ridge Stairs. We should be back in Atlanta early afternoon.

Please plan on bringing a snack since we will be dropping by the Len Foote Inn for a quick 10 minute break.

***Amicalola Falls is considered to be one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia, according to the New Georgia Encyclopedia.
