Itinerary:
We will first hike North Bowmans Island and then follow some use trails along the riverbank of the Chattahoochee. After a lunch break on some rocks right beside the river, we will proceed to the South Bowman Island trails. We will make a loop there, and back to the river and north to the parking area.

Total hiking time should be about 3-4 hrs and total distance about 7 miles. We will be enjoying a leisurely pace. The terrain is fairly flat with just a few moderate hills and a couple of short steep riverbank sections.

We will most likely see some deer and some aquatic wildlife...well at least few squirrels for sure...

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Traveling north on I-85, take exit 111 and turn left (NW) onto Lawrenceville Suwanee Road. Proceed 9.6 miles (at some point the name of the road will change to Suwanee Dam Road)

Turn left onto Buford Dam Road and proceed 1.6 miles...turn left onto gravel road...(sign will say LOWER POOL PARK) and proceed .6 miles to first parking area on your right. (If this one is full, there is additional parking just past it).

Notes:
Unlike many of the other Chatt. parks, there is not a parking fee at this branch of the park.
