Itinerary:

Note - Since this hike is on Halloween, let's dress up for the ocassion. Dress up in a halloween costume; this is totally optional for you, nothing fancy. You can go all out crazy if you like :) Just be sure you'll be comfortable hiking for 6 miles in the outfit. 

East Palisades is one of the most beautiful of all the Chattahoochee Parks. It has several trails some of which aren't on the map, but still connect to the main trails. There used to be a wooden structure near the overlook which has been razed to the ground for an unobstructive view of the river! It is beautiful! 

We're going to start off by going uphill toward the Indian Trail Parking lot. We will continue hiking trails toward the overlook. We will skip the bamboo forest since the trail toward it is quite overgrown. We may go towards the cave at the end of our hike.

The hills in this park seem never-ending and it is a fantastic workout! We will encounter at least 4 of these hills making this a SOLID D3. This hike will be at a moderate to fast pace & we will stop for fewer breaks.

There is a 3$ parking fee unless you have an annual pass. There are no restrooms available.

As you get closer to the park, the driving directions might not be accurate, please use them with caution. your safest bet is to use the co-ordinates. If you must, use the approximate physical address, till you get to whitewhater creek road, after that look out for the park entrance on the right. 

From I 285 W

Take exit 22 for New Northside Dr toward Northside Dr/Powers Ferry Rd
In 0.4  miles turn left onto Northside Dr NW
In 1.8 miles turn right onto Harris Trail NW
In 0.8 miles turn right onto Whitewater Creek RD NW
In 0.2 miles you will see the Park Entrance to your right. 
Drive about 0.2 miles to the parking lot. 
 
From I 285 E
Take exit 22 for Northside Drive toward New Northside Drive/Powers Ferry Road
In 0.2 miles turn right onto Northside Dr NW
In 1.8 miles turn right onto Harris Trail NW
In 0.8 miles turn right onto Whitewater Creek RD NW
In 0.2 miles you will see the Park Entrance to your right. 
Drive about 0.2 miles to the parking lot. 

From I-75 North

- Take exit 256 for Mount Paran Road toward U.S. 41/Northside Parkway
In 0.3 miles Keep left at the fork and merge onto Mt Paran Rd NW
In 256 ft Merge onto Mt Paran Rd NW
In 279 ft Merge onto Mt Paran Rd NW
In 0.5 miles Turn left onto Beechwood Dr NW
In 0.7 miles Continue onto Harris Trail NW
In 0.6 miles Turn left onto Whitewater Creek Rd NW
In 0.2 miles you will see the Park Entrance to your right. 
Drive about 0.2 miles to the parking lot. 

From U.S. 41 (Cobb Highway South)

- Travel to Mt. Paran Road
- Right on Mt. Paran Road, go to the first traffic light (Harris Trail) and turn left.
- Go about .3 miles turn left onto Whitewater Creek Road.
- Go .4 miles to the unit, which is on the left.

From U.S. 41 (Cobb Highway North)
- Travel to Mt. Paran Road
- Turn left on Mt. Paran Road, go to the first traffic light (Harris Trail) and turn left.
- Go about .3 miles turn left onto Whitewater Creek Road.
- Go .4 miles to the unit, which is on the left.

Bring 3$ cash for parking unless you have an annual pass
