Itinerary:

*Thanks to Chad for the use of his itinerary and picture!

Come join Olin and I as we go on a waterfall adventure in north Georgia.  We'll travel from the Indian Trail park and ride to Helen.  There we'll head to Raven Cliff falls for a creekside hike towards this unique waterfall.  Along the way are several smaller falls and scenic views.  This section of our hike will cover approx 5 miles with a decent change in elevation. We'll spend about 30 - 45 minutes at the falls to allow time for pictures and exploring Raven Cliffs for the best views of the falls.

Once we're back at the cars, we'll head just about a mile to the trailhead of Duke's Creek falls.  This waterfall is located just about a mile from the parking lot, but it does include a 400 foot descent along the trail (mostly a paved walkway).  We'll take a little time for pictures before heading back up to the trailhead.  This will be just over 2 miles.

Overall the hiking will cover just about 8 miles with break in between for driving between and the picture opportunities.  I suggest that anyone signing up be prepared for a good D3. Please contact me before signing up if you aren't sure if this is right for you.

DUE TO LIMITED PARKING, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO MEET AT THE CARPOOL AT INDIAN TRAIL.  WE NEED TO TAKE AS FEW VEHICLES AS POSSIBLE TO THE THE TRAILS.

There is a $3 parking fee at Dukes Creek Falls. Please have cash available.

Note:Holders of a National Park Annual Pass or Senior Pass are not required to pay the $3 fee. If you have a Pass, please bring it! (Thanks, Ralph Howard! )
