Itinerary:
a private class will be taught at Medicine Bow by Mark Warren on certain aspects of wilderness survival. Fire Creation - We will learn the natural materials useful for a fire kit, utilizing what most anthropologists believe to be the original fire technique - the hand drill. We will make such a kit and learn the technique and form for producing fire. Because this skill is quite demanding solo, we will learn it by a team approach. It is most satisfying, exciting and a great physical workout. Shelter - We will learn to make a winter shelter out of forest debris. This shelter could keep a person alive in sub-freezing weather. In fact, if built properly, it can be comfortable. We'll start from scratch and learn the architecture. Variations on the shelter will be discussed for other seasons. only $ 39.00 pay now.
